It’s about contrast, clear light, drama. It’s about great rooms and great photos. It’s about inspiration and interpretation. Capturing the moment and the mood. Fresh and fabulous. Interiors photography by Dominic Blackmore.
Remember our Matt Blatt competition? Those fab chairs? Sarah, the lucky winner has sent us a pic.
“I just wanted to say another big thank you for picking me as the winner of the Matt Blatt Acapulco replica’s, they’ve arrived and are as comfortable as they look. I prefer using them outside but when I’m not, they make a nice little nook under my favourite painting in the lounge room!”
Very cool Sarah!
Classic and contemporary, elegant and livable. It’s a refined aesthetic with a limited palette but loads of style. Vancouver based interior designer Sophie Burke mixes old and new, high and low to create beautiful rooms.
I am dreading the impending awfully cold weather like you would not believe, so I thought I’d do a double dose of escaping this reality of mine. This time it’s thank to Arkin Tilt Architects, coincidentally also located in California. These homes are absolutely stunning and inspiring. The photo above is going into my inspiration folder. Oh, to have that massive porch and steel roof. LOVE. These folks can come design my new house anytime. 🙂
It’s been quite some time since Jeffrey of Jeffrey Gordon Smith Landscape Architecture sent us photos of his latest work. (See previous post here). He emailed recently with a few projects he has recently completed that had me momentarily transported to a land where the grass is green, plants are thriving and it’s not below freezing. Just in time for winter! 🙂 Oh, to live in the tropics like Jo and enjoy the outdoors year round. Anyhoo, these wonderfully landscaped properties are located in California (Santa Barbara, Nipomo, Cayucos and Montecito).
