Gisele Taranto

Posted on Fri, 15 Mar 2013 by KiM

I’ve been hooked lately on discovering cool designers and architects from Brazil – there is so much inspiring Brazilian talent in these fields! Another I discovered recently is architect Gisele Taranto. Her portfolio features several contemporary spaces that are creative in their execution and takes advantage of the beauty outdoors which I think is absolutely necessary in a country that is so freaking beautiful.

Stalking two

Just a short hop away from my last post and I’m taking a virtual tour of an apartment in a warehouse conversion in Fitzroy North. Historic facade and modern interiors with tall walls of glass to take in the inner city views. Love the winding stairs climbing to the top floor where the current owners have created a wonderful office space. What a great space to work. Which one does it for you? Factory pad number one or warehouse apartment number two? Link here while it lasts.

Stalking one

Got my checklist for today’s real estate stalking. Apartment in an old textile factory. Tick. Saw-tooth roof line. Tick. Large metal framed windows. Tick. Inner city Melbourne, Fitzroy to be precise. Tick. Red brick. Double tick. Think my factory conversion wish list is complete. If the owners throw in the hanging garden of string and moss wrapped plants then I might just sign on the dotted line. I’m stalking the first of two industrial style apartments. Link here while it lasts.

P.S. If you are looking for moss ball plants in Australia then try Mister Moss. Mine was a Christmas gift and it is still going strong.

Pretty rough

So drawn to this rough luxe, girly vs rustic with a twist of vintage, imperfectly pretty bed space. A lovely look by prop and soft goods stylist Kate S Jordan. More fabulousness on her website and if you can’t get enough her tumblr, The Modern Diary, will draw you right in.
