You may recall this stunning modern farmhouse Jo blogged not too long ago, or this almost upside down house in the dunes. They were the creations of Norwegian architects Jarmund/Vigsnæs AS Arkitekter MNAL. I happened upon their website recently and found all sorts of other projects they designed that knocked my socks off. I thought I’d share with you a mish-mash of some of my favourite spaces and exteriors. So beautiful. (LOVE the angled window set-up in the 3rd photo – perfect hangout for my cats!)

New work from San Francisco based interior designer Antonio Martins. The Atelier is the room he has created for the 2013 San Francisco Decorator Showcase, opening Saturday. Layers of design, layers of textures and finishes, layers of meaning. A small space that spins a story through the most basic of materials, burlap, but is refined and elegant in the telling. A man’s space, an artisan’s lair, a collector’s sanctuary. A place away and yet in the present, a place beyond and always in contact with the world. A beautiful place.

Mariah O’Brien – home #2

This is another favourite home designed by Mariah O’Brien. It’s located in Santa Monica and it’s just as inviting, energetic and eclectic as the last home – but not quite as bright. And the cute Boston Terrier is a bonus. 🙂

Mariah O’Brien – home #1

Mariah O’Brien is a Los Angeles-based interior designer who has worked with tons of celebrities including Megan Fox, Flea, Giovanni Ribisi, and Patricia and Rosanna Arquette to name just a few. I absolutely love her style – because she doesn’t really have one. It’s pretty eclectic which is what I love about her. I am all for interiors that are unexpected, unexplained, and uncommon. She injects into spaces just the right amount of pizzazz with colour, pattern, texture, sparkle and fabulous artwork. I got my hands on tons of photos from several of her projects (thanks PR peeps!) and this home in Los Feliz that is a favourite.
