If you’d like to send me photos to include in next week’s “pets on furniture” post, please ensure your photos follow my basic rules: First, the pet must be on a piece of furniture. And said piece of furniture must be clearly visible in the photo, so it takes center stage rather than your pet. Think of it more of a photo of a great piece of furniture that you want to show off…and your pet happens to be sitting on it. And second, the photo must be of decent quality. If it’s dark or fuzzy then it may not make the cut. Photos, your name, location and a brief description can be sent to desiretoinspirekim@hotmail.comand PLEASE don’t send closeups of your pet! Thanks!
We were preparing to leave for a wedding the other day and after preparing the dogs, my brother in law took this beautiful picture in our living room. The photographer’s name is Fernando Toledo and Nena and Pablo are posing for him.

I love neutrals. I really, really do. But sometimes…
I need…
just a little bit…
more colour! Fabulous interiors from neutral to super saturated by Landy Gardner Interiors.
… and Brazilian. Apartment living that is fun and fab. I love the design coming out of Brazil. A mix of cutting edge contemporary and retrolicious with a riot of colour and art. It’s young and fresh and fun. Residence Canario by Maurício Arruda.

I’m stalking another wonderful example of the imperfectly perfect or is that the perfectly imperfect? All I know is the location is perfect, Avalon in the Northern Beaches/Pittwater area of Sydney. The house is a perfect little shack. A little shabby but as stylish and chic as a shack could ever want to be. And the view from the deck is… sigh… perfect. Please someone buy it and keep it just as it is. It’s being sold as a development site (it will no doubt have a ridicously high reserve price) but in the perfect world of my dreams this little shack will be bought by my best friend who will let me use it any weekend I like. Link here while it lasts.
