Movin’ on up

Posted on Sat, 31 Aug 2013 by midcenturyjo

Ditch the garish bubble gum pink townhouse. You movin’ on up. Dollhouses scandi style or should I say Polish style. The perfect minimalist pad for anyone who is 1:6 scale. That’s you Barbie or you Yasmin, Cloe, Jade and Sasha or you Blythe. You too if your child is clambering for a dollhouse and you just can’t bring yourself to let anymore pink plastic into your place. P.S. What’s up with Barbie in pic 3? 😉

Happy Friday!

For all you fellow Ottawans out there, it’s coming up to Glebe House Tour time! The date is September 15th and details for tickets can be found here. I was asked to do some personal tours again so this morning I photographed Kathrin’s “bohemian chic” home on First Ave. The tour is so much fun and I’ll definitively be attending again this year. What’s not to love about spending up to 3 hours poking around some fab homes in a fab neighbourhood?! (Check out homes from last year’s tour here and here)

Carl Dahlstedt (again)

There’s no denying I have a serious appreciation for the photography of Carl Dahlstedt (see?!). I need more. MUST HAVE MORE. I could stare at these all day. Maybe I will!

David Ross

You’d think that after all this time fully immersed in images of beautiful rooms, or should that be drowning in inspiration, I would be jaded. Nothing impresses. Been there. Done that. Ho hum. Next. But you know what? I’m not. I can never get enough. I’m always hunting, searching, devouring. Like today. Today it’s the work of photographer David Ross. Beautiful, inspiring. Drink it in. I’m replete.
