Once upon a time, in a land far, far away lived a photographer of great renown. His talent knew no bounds. His images were awash in soft light. His compositions just so. His portfolio prodigious. He was in fact a magician, a sorcerer of light and a weaver of dreams. His name… Romain Ricard.

There is a Jack Nicholson feel to the photography. Not in a bad way — just a sense of tension, of things just out of view. Something about the quality of the shadows, the way the walls press in on the space. It's absolutely wonderful. I'm a huge fan of atmosphere, and Mr. Ricard delivers.
