A little escape

Posted on Fri, 20 Dec 2013 by KiM

Polish interior designer Lucyna Kołodziejska is at it again, and this time it’s her take on a luxury seaside hotel in apartment form. The space is over 100 metres, comprised of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and living room. Her client uses the space only on weekend or few days in summer. It’s on the top floor so there is a view of the sea from the private terrace on the roof. (!!!) Her client wanted to have some seaside elements inside too so she designed the mosaics in the master bathroom and chose the wallpaper and shutters to play off the seaside cottage vibe. Lovely!

Hello yellow

Guaranteed to put as much pep in your stride as the caffeine you’re about to down. A slap in the face dose of yellow at Hams & Bacon at Pope Joan designed by Figure Ground. Can you imagine this in a domestic kitchen, a bathroom? Wow!

With clean, contemporary lines and an easy connection to its surrounding landscape this modern beach house by Bower Architecture allows for casual, stylish, family living. Open plan and open to the garden with sleek white surfaces warmed by wood. Light and bright and fresh and fun.

Renee’s loft – part 1

I am absolutely, completely, unquestionably, positively in love with this loft. Every square inch. I’m drooling and having heart palpitations. It is located in the Netherlands and is the home of Renee Arns, stylist and one of the owners for Out Of The Blue Concept Store. Her friend Paulina Arcklin took these gorgeous photos that make me love this loft even more – if that’s possible. More loft goodness in my next post. (And OMG her cats match the decor!)
