I’m back

Posted on Sun, 16 Feb 2014 by KiM

Hey everyone. My trip to Mexico sadly came to an end Thursday and I have returned to my reality of frigid cold and snowstorms. How I miss cloudless skies, HOT temperatures and being lulled to sleep by the sounds of the ocean. Oh – and the food. Ah mah gawd I ate well. So while I scramble to get my life back in order before the work week begins, here is a quick post on a home I found on Nuevo Estilo (bummed I could not find this mag on my travels). It is located in Paris and is the home/art gallery of Valerie de Marotte and Vicenç Boned of Galeria Tagomago. Stunning architecture, spacious, and just the right amount of eclecticism.

Stalking leftovers

Posted on Sat, 15 Feb 2014 by midcenturyjo

By now you know that I am fussy when it comes to my real estate stalking. Fussy, fussy, fussy and hard to please. Not quite right, bad photos, I need more photos please, house is amazing furniture is deplorable or no furniture at all! Can’t quite put my finger on it listings with something that has me nodding “yes”. This week’s leftovers include an OTT art deco complex with a bathroom of greenest green, a two storey penthouse that is chaotic and classy, a couple of small pools that caught my eye and a 60’s iconic house that needs to be saved not bulldozed by developers. Ashley Darryl is a New York interior designer best known for creating livable, unique spaces by blending styles into a cohesive, one-of-a-kind look. Ashley is a designer I can relate to: she loves mixing antiques with classic and contemporary pieces to create an eclectic look. The loft in the first few photos is fantastic – I love the black painted window mouldings. So dramatic against the white brick.
