One of the coolest Instagram accounts that I follow is that of Ariele Alasko (@arielealasko). She is a woodworker and furniture builder living in Brooklyn, NY. Her creations, from spalted maple bowls and walnut spoons, to wall panels and headboards, are spectacular. Her attention to detail is impeccable – she even has enough patience to fill walls with eucalyptus leaves! It’s craziness I tell ya. You can check out her work on her website, but it is her home and studio (10 blocks away from each other – sweet!) in particular that I wanted to share with you today. They are beautiful and inspiring, filled with vintage finds and bits from nature but my favourite are her adorable pets – Mr. C the cat and Mazie the pitbull/boxer mix.
