Still stalking

Posted on Mon, 21 Apr 2014 by midcenturyjo

It’s Easter Monday. I’m stuffed full of chocolate Easter eggs and hot cross buns. What’s a girl to do on a long weekend? Snooze? You lose. I stalk. South Melbourne, a little terrace house with modern extension. I’m always amazed at how much house they can cram in behind those single storey facades. Link here while it lasts. Back to normal programming tomorrow I promise. In the meantime I need another Easter egg and maybe a cup of tea to wash it down.

Stalking leftovers

Posted on Sat, 19 Apr 2014 by midcenturyjo

It’s that time of the week. The ones that made the cut but then didn’t because I hummed and hawed and changed my mind. My stalking leftovers. Why? I’m very fussy. Call me particular, finicky, choosy and hard to please. Not quite right, bad photos, I need more photos please, house is amazing furniture is deplorable or no furniture at all! Can’t quite put my finger on it listings with something that has me nodding “yes”. This week’s finds include a high priced “shack”, killer views, inner city extensions, a significant Walter Burley Griffin house with a contemporary addition and an old house they don’t dare show the inside of but OMG the backyard is over the top… gladiator style pool party anyone? It’s a good Friday

Jo doesn’t need to twist my arm to take a day off. I have a million things on my to-do list (one of which I’m actually excited to tackle = making new vignettes with all of my Almonte shopping finds). So I hope you all have a lovely Good Friday, and I leave you with this beautiful photo of Granny’s house, captured by Jason Loucas

Dark bright

I’m taking the day off today. I hope you are too Kim. It’s the start of the Easter holidays. A sombre day for some, the slowest day of the year for others and the start of a chocolate filled long weekend for yet more. I had to drop in and share at least one beautiful picture though. I couldn’t help myself. Something to tie you over until tomorrow. I love this room. I love this photograph. I found it in the amazing portfolio of the photographer duo Floto+Warner.
