Ed Ritger

Enjoy some eye candy via some beautiful spaces impeccably captured by San Francisco photographer Ed Ritger. Items to note: the chairs above – cool idea to paint just the part above table level, and the nooses for bathtub toiletries is pretty damn creative.

Antokolsky penthouse

How about a dose of modernism to make you want to de-clutter and enjoy some concrete? The Antokolsky penthouse by Pitsou Kedem Architect is pretty spectacular, and pretty freaking huge at 680 m². So not only can you do laps up and down its massively long corridor, you can then go take a dip in the rooftop pool and enjoy the views of Tel Aviv. My favourite touch is the Ingo Maurer Lucellino lights – a longtime favourite of mine.

Bondi apartment

Posted on Thu, 17 Apr 2014 by midcenturyjo

The renovation of this Art Deco penthouse apartment at Bondi Beach, Sydney opens the interior to an external courtyard and delineates internal space by a series of joinery walls. The new sits lightly within the historic shell with period features remaining intact while modern considerations are addressed and sinuous curves touch lightly on Art Deco angles. A cool, hip pad within a classic old apartment. By Marsh Cashman Koolloos.

Grant K. Gibson

Grant K. Gibson is a San Francisco-based interior designer whose style I love. He mixes traditional with modern, neutrals with bold accents, antique with new. The result is a pleasurable, classy yet cozy combination that is fresh and unique. I adore the kitchen featured in the first 2 photos – that tile is divine!
