Grey is the new black

Posted on Mon, 2 Feb 2015 by KiM

I have been proclaiming my love of grey as the unrivaled neutral for years now, and frankly, grey is the new black. Many people will soon have grey on their minds as the release of the Fifty Shades of Grey movie is coming in a couple of weeks (around Valentine’s Day, coincidentally). I got together with Hamacha and Sun from clothing e-destination Theory of Gaia who will be sharing photos from this post over on Gaia Full Circle, and in the spirit of this theme, they sent me a beautiful grey sweater dress. So without further ado, I present you with a selection of some juicy grey room porn.

Beautiful collection of images! I love gray too. My whole wardrobe is dive gray right now and I'd love to decorate a room in monochromatic gray.

KiM says:

There is nothing better than monochromatic grey. I have some items I need to paint that reside in my downpipe grey living room, and i want to paint them in the same grey.

Ombia says:

i can type only with one hand, because my gianz tomcat sitts on the other one, i adore grey
having dark grey wall in bedroom and grey – no pattern – black out curtains, i will never get tired of this colour.
awful book and now movie i will continue to ignore

Elisabeth says:

I love especially the first picture. The different shades of grey are beautiful. I also like the lamps and the chairs.
Do you know the brand/name of the chairs? I am not an expert though;-) Thanks.

Joanna says:

Grey is the perfect background for just about any colour. Modern, trendy, elegant. I especially love it paired with black/gold decor combinations, as well as with pastel hues.

Qawiorka says:

Love this photos…, amazing interiors! Good feelings!

Chichi Furniture says:

I think grey room schemes can look really elegant and chic, but can sometimes feel a little cold. Adding a splash vibrant colour or few gold additions in a considered way can add warmth and a homely touch without losing the elegance and calmness of the grey. Like the gold frames in pic 2, the blue sofa in pic 9 and the fabulous yellow pops in pic 11.

KiM says:

Sorry Elisabeth I don't know who makes those chairs – Hay Denmark has similar.

Andrew Smith says:

Love the grey’s, they are timeless. Very elegant
