This is our beloved Myrtille enjoying one of her favorite places in the apartment : our daughter’s reading nook ;^).
– Dominique (Nantes, France)

This is Sophie our blue Weimaraner on her favourite wingback chair!
– Maureen (Vancouver, B.C.)

This is my view from my workspace: Sam The Goldendoodle zonked out under the Noguchi and surrounded by replicas of Eames Lounge Chair and Barcelona chairs & bench.
– Ruth

I’m Cia and this is me enjoying the view from my human’s couch and this is my face when my human turn on the light while i’m sleeping. Don’t do that anymore, human!
– Francisco (Argentina)

And a couple from my zoo. First, the 2 feral brothers Bernie and Frankie hanging out in everyone’s favourite window – which means I always have cats on my kitchen counters 🙁 And Frankie lounging on my J104 Hay Denmark chair in the living room (topped with a Homesense $30 faux sheepskin)

Playspace

Not much space (16m2). Very little money. Brillant solution. A dedicated children’s play room which sits next to a cafe in a shopping centre. The scalloped plywood walls hold replacable cardboard sheets for scribbling while the cardboard tube light has been dip painted fluoro yellow for maximum impact. Great inspiration for a domestic playroom. Playspace by Clare Cousins Architects.

Hartree

A writer’s stylish retreat is just one of elegant contemporary spaces created by West Australian Hartree & Associates Architects. The addition to the original 1911 bungalow is light filled, stylish, open plan yet intimate. Be still my beating heart. What I wouldn’t give to have such a wonderful office/library/music room.

Cottage chic

Summer is here and I am loving every minute of it. Hanging out with the family at my parent’s pool (“The Oasis”), barbecues, dinner on patios, the smell of fresh flowers, the sounds of birds chirping…it is definitively cottage season. Sadly there is no longer one in my family (my younger sister had one for a few years and recently sold it), but I continue to dream of owning a cottage one day so I can enjoy the outdoors and OMG another home to decorate!! It seems you can get away with so much more at a cottage. LOL Anyway, Style At Home magazine has a wonderful collection of cottage features so I thought I would share an assortment of my favourite spaces.

Working on a Saturday

Posted on Sat, 27 Jun 2015 by midcenturyjo

As I always say… if you have to drag yourself into work on a weekend while everyone else is having fun then it should be somewhere stylish and inspiring. I could almost give up sitting in a cafe with my friends if I could sit in the company cafe with my colleagues. CIP Flinders Lane offices in Melbourne by EMKC.
