Serene

Posted on Thu, 25 Jun 2015 by midcenturyjo

Quiet probably the most serene guest room I have ever seen. Yes I know it may not be practical. It is, after all, a room from a showhouse but it is beautiful. I can imagine it as a day room for lounging or reading, taking a coffee, reclining opposite a confident guiltily sharing tasty tidbits of gossip in hushed tones. Just tuck the bedlinen away in that lovely lacquer cabinet. Lake Forest Showhouse Guest Suite byMichael Del Piero.

The mix

An elegant simplicity. A carefully restrained palette. The joy of a treasured object whether a pencil sketch, a fragment of fabric, a book. New married with ancient, sumptuous with well worn. A selection of interiors by Michael Del Piero. The mix has never been so beautiful.

Some dreamy kitchens

Robinson + Grisaru Architecture PC are the masterminds behind these gorgeous kitchens. The first one is breathtaking. Just those windows alone have won me over, nevermind how much I would love doing dishes with that view.

Can I PLEASE have a little pond with an overhanging deck? PLEASE?! I am a bit distracted by these fist 2 photos because this setup is something I swear I have dreamt about my entire life. Maybe one day. Brooklyn based Robinson + Grisaru Architecture PC are my new heroes for coming up with this little oasis above, and all of these other fantastic spaces. Some spectacular kitchens of theirs are coming up so stay tuned.

Yes please!

After getting a sneak peek into Katie Graham’s house I jumped on over to The Family Love Tree and look what I found. Yum! If you have a cane/retro/boho/peacock anything/bright colour addiction then you’ll love it.
