Classy, contemporary and casual. Graciela Rutkowski Interiors takes interior design to the next level with very bold colour and pattern choices for that WOW factor. Not for everyone but for those who like to make a statement…like when it is dark out but you have not closed the curtains yet, and I drive by peeking in your windows and GASP.
As someone who has painted her own bedroom black I can fully attest to the calming, cocooning nature of a dark room. No dark dreams. Just dreaming in the dark. Beautiful bedroom by Meme Interior Design & Architecture.
I’m stalking Australian movie legends dear readers. I’m officially in the big league now. ‘Iona’ in Darlinghurst, Sydney is the humble abode of the film director, screenwriter and producer Baz Luhrmann and his costume and production designer wife Catherine Martin. Think traditional character meets contemporary luxury with Art Deco references and rolls and rolls and rolls of Martin’s wallpaper range for Porters Paints. Definitely extravagant, not for the shrinking violets amongst you but I had to share because of Kim’s floor deliberations. Patterned tessellated encaustic tiles in the foyer and bold wallpaper. OK I know the space is large enough to take it but patterned tile and wallpaper! Link here while it lasts.
This bathroom is simple, and divine. I adore it. And I will never tire of subway tiles. Via Carlos Mota.
What do you get when you cross chartreuse shag and walls, purple accents, large scale artwork, tall plants and framed photography? This other-worldly NYC apartment designed by creative consultant Carlos Mota. BOOM.
