Still

Posted on Thu, 30 Jul 2015 by midcenturyjo

After all this time. After all the rooms I’ve seen. Still love this place. I remember when I first saw that kitchen wall and those brass taps in Elle Decoration UK all those years ago. Collage House by Jonathan Tuckey Design.

A modern farmhouse

The location, the ranch style building, the materials equate to farmhouse but with a modern twist. A contemporary style, a casual elegance make this no rough and ready bunkhouse. It’s warm and welcoming with views forever. Santa Lucia Preserve Modern Farmhouse interiors by Kristin Rowell, Principal Of Scavullo Design.

A South Loop residence

Loving this clean and tailored apartment created by Chicago’s Jessica Lagrange. Typically her designs are much more modern or formal in much more extravagant homes. But this one suits me just fine. Contemporary furnishings and spirited textiles, art and accessories give a bachelor with a finite budget a beautifully appointed bespoke home. The thoughtfully considered design lends the space personality with an enduringly fresh demeanor.

ML Interior Designs

New Jersey based interior designer Marisa Lafiosca started out in the fashion industry but after becoming a mom and having a large, empty Tudor style home in the suburbs to decorate, she switched focus to interiors. Her intuitive sense of color and textiles creates an earthy elegance that defines her work. Combining the classic and contemporary, fine antiques and flea market treasures, she crafts warm, inviting spaces to be lived in, not simply admired. And I just want to melt into the photo above. Stunning!
