Home 11

Light floods through generous skylights into this repurposed former garage in Amsterdam by i29. Clean lines, contemporary materials, simple spaces that speak for themselves. Stark white with walls of oak and accents of black all grounded by a stunning mossy green and white carpet.

Brazilian beach condo

Posted on Mon, 12 Oct 2015 by midcenturyjo

Brazilian cool down by the sea with just enough mid century touches to make my heart flutter. A series of boxes and voids delineates public and private spaces, indoors and out. A contemporary beach home that celebrates the landscape and the climate. One of four in a private enclave, Condomínio Baleia, São Sebastião by Studio Arthur Casas.

A condo on the beach in Brazil would be a dream come true. If you’re looking for something located not quite as south, an equally beautiful location for a condo would be Miami. Here is great resource for condos in Miami: http://emiami.condos/

Eclectic in Paris on a Sunday

Posted on Sun, 11 Oct 2015 by KiM

This apartment in Paris’ 9th arrondissement is everything I love about this city – the stunning mouldings and windows, and the residents’ love for eclectic decor and vintage furnishings. Here you have some mid century and classic mixed with modern (that Ligne Roset Facett lounge chair is HOT) that always works in an intriguing way. It is however unfortunate that the original flooring seems to have been replaced. 🙁 Details on this home and its inhabitants can be found on The Socialite Family.

Happy Friday!

Finally a break from craft & antique shows this weekend. I cannot wait for Thanksgiving dinner with the family, some movies with the husband and the cat herd, and unfortunately, getting ready for winter (BOO!!!). Hope you all have a fabulous weekend. To get things started, here are a couple of photos that had me mesmerized over on KK Living

Lucy Interior Design – an update

Posted on Fri, 9 Oct 2015 by KiM

It has been years since I have featured the interiors of Minnesota’s Lucy Interior Design and they seem to be going strong. Their spaces are characterized by an eclectic assortment of mid-century, asian, traditional and modern styles and this randomness is very intriguing. One of a kind fabulousness.
