Let’s do lunch

Posted on Fri, 9 Oct 2015 by midcenturyjo

Yes? Somewhere with great food and atmosphere? Lots of people to gawk at. Lots of design ideas to steal from the restaurant fitout. Cool! I’ll meet you at Usine in Stockholm, a restaurant concept by designer Richard Lindvall. A choice of bistro, cafe and bar areas all with a Scandi minimal meets industrial vibe. Concrete, steel, leather, wood and tiles are on the menu. Delicious.

This apartment on the Brooklyn Promenade is all class, thanks to Kiki Dennis once again. It is hard to compete with those killer views but Kiki has created some contemporary glam in this space. (Architect: Ben Herzog Architect, Photos: Brett Beyer)

Kiki Dennis – a Park Slope brownstone

Yes, it is yet another New York brownstone I managed to find on my internet travels. I just cannot get enough of the architecture of these stunning structures. The woodwork detail in this home is to die for, and with the addition of a little mid century funk from interior designer Kiki Dennis, this home is ready to rock. Photos: Brett Beyer

Endless summer

Spring seems to have shot through already and an endless summer beckons. I’m feeling cooler just looking at this refreshing, white bedroom by Swedish designer Richard Lindvall. Like a long, cold drink on a hot, hot day.

A masculine Amsterdam penthouse

Within the historical fabric of this Amsterdam penthouse apartment architectural studio Framework, in collaboration with interior designer Sascha Faase, has created a contemporary home with grand gestures and intimate spaces. A colour palette of white is enriched by browns, blues and greens layered with luxe finishes and textures. Masculine and dramatic with soul.
