Perth’s newest boutique hotel, the Alex Hotel, is so cool, so funky, so hipster, so much fun. The interiors by Arent&Pyke are like a breath of fresh air. No stuffy, seen-it-all-before hotel rooms here. No. Young, fresh, fab. I can feel a trip to Western Australia on my horizon if only just to book in for a few days.

Any ideas where the rug in pics 3/4 is from? Or even what you'd google to find it?
midcenturyjo says:
Here in Australia Loom Rugs are well known for their patchwork kilims and rugs under their Hepsi range. The website doesn't have exact examples like these at the moment but that's the joy of patchwork rugs, no two are the same. You can find them on eBay and Etsy too. I'd try the search words "patchwork rug" and "patchwork kilim".

oooh, I scrolled up and down, up and down, taking in the details. Thanks! It's a joy to see examples of brutal/raw warmed up with inviting furnishings and art and light. Really great work.

Any chance you could zoom in and tell me the make of the bicycle in the first photo? That's my wife's dream bike. 🙂

Great place to stay. It doesn't even look like a hotel. Rather like a great, unique private residence.

The hotel website says they are Lekker bicycles Jes 🙂 https://alexhotel.com.au/bikes/
