Fantastic scandi inspiration 2

Posted on Thu, 26 Nov 2015 by midcenturyjo

One more for Meg’s inspiration file. Scandi style. Tick. White and wood. Tick. A lovely accent of palest blue and a smear of berry colours. Linen, leather, velvet, thick wool. Fantastic Frank has done it again. And the good news is that this apartment is still for sale. You’ll find the listing here.

Fantastic scandi inspiration

My friend Meg loves all things Scandinavian so when she asked for help decorating her tiny apartment I knew where to look for inspiration. Why Fantastic Frank of course! This real estate company is know for the fab styling and magazine worthy images that set their listings apart from all the others. Meg loves all things white and wood. I think we hit the jackpot with this teeny 26 m² apartment. Mirrors bounce the light and “extend” the room while the autumnal hints are so pretty. If you love it and have to have it unfortunately it has been sold but you can find the listing here.

Old school conversion

It is hard to believe this was once a school. This modern, bright and airy loft in Amsterdam is now home to a family of five. The teacher’s lounge became bedrooms and the classroom became the living space. The kitchen is fantastic! I especially love the wall of open storage over the sink cabinet section. Such a fun place to raise kids in. No worries about the floors getting scratched up (it’s concrete) or one of the kids hiding somewhere and wrecking havoc (their toys are stashed in the play area under the stairs). Table tennis anyone?

“Why, oh why, have two dining tables so close to each other?” we hear readers lament on occasion on the blog. “It’s a bit pretentious.” “They will never use them.” “It’s all for show.” Well not in this kitchen. They’re for table tennis. (And large dinner parties and for the 14 children they have. Just kidding.) Wonderful kitchen. Wonderful home in Battersea, London via Airspace Locations.
