Often the emphasis of a lake house is on the watery surrounds. Often but not always. Alabama interior designer Andrew Brown has taken his cue not only from the lake but from the leafy green woods surrounding this wonderful house. The interiors have a distinct mid-century vibe layered with natural finishes and an impressive natural photography collection. Peaceful, relaxed yet sophisticated, it’s like a well curated treehouse.
Taste of France says:
This is too cold for my tastes but that exterior is a dream! That treehouse-like deck! And the house itself! Beautiful.
Jared Hayden says:
I have to agree with Taste of France. The house itself is AMAZING, but the decor is way too mannered and "done" to foster that "let it all hang out" vibe you want at the lake. The kids and dogs would track in mud and it would all be ruined.

I love it. I have had my home ( in the past) featured in a magazine and crumpled beds and pillows are not going to be featured in a magazine shoot.
I love this home and the surroundings.

And again beautiful window and interior is ruined with ugly curtains.
Stacey says:
Perfection! I am in love with the whole house. Bedroom with twin beds❤️❤️
Sarah Ross says:
I would love to know the sources for the gold round mirrors over the twin beds and the fabulous leather chairs around the kitchen table!
Steve says:
Try Crate & Barell for the round mirrors (maybe CB2?). West Elm has a similar leather seat dining chair. And the polished concrete floors are perfect for dogs, kids and the lake!
