Alisha Hillery, of Matilda Rose Interiors based in NSW, Australia sent along some photos of a kitchen and bathroom renovation project she recently completed…and I love it so I absolutely had to share! Here are some details she provided: We knocked through the back of the house to build the kitchen extension and installed new windows and doors to let the space fill with natural light. We used a faux sandstone on the floor to give the feeling of warmth but without the staining issues you’d get with actual sandstone. The work surface used in the kitchen is Quantum Quartz – Statuario Quartz and the
backsplash is a mother of pearl mosaic tile. The light fixture is by Timothy Oulton from Coco Republic. The mosaic tile is soooooo gorgeous and I really like the effect of those faux sandstone tiles. And what’s not to love about that graphic bathroom tile – I love that it continues up the wall. Fabulous job Alisha!

Aaah. That gorgeous teal sofa. A pop of color. Wouldn't that look great in that moody Scandinavian apartment? Or at least a pillow in this color?
