Revisting Generation

Posted on Wed, 31 Aug 2016 by KiM

It has been a while since I featured the work of Generation from South Africa. Not only do they carry some pretty spectacular furniture, but their spaces are polished, inviting and hard to spot any overdone trends here! As a side note I just took a look at their sofa range and WOW. I typically find sofas boring but these really do it for me. (And this isn’t a sponsored post for the record)

Choosing favourites

Posted on Wed, 31 Aug 2016 by midcenturyjo

I couldn’t make up my mind which house by Houston-based interior designer Marie Flanigan to share with you so I chose my favourite rooms from several. Rooms that are timeless and elegantly simple. You can find more inspiration on her website.

Raising the mid-week standard

Posted on Wed, 31 Aug 2016 by midcenturyjo

It’s Wednesday, the middle of the working week and there is no chance of escaping the everyday drudgery. No chance of running away to the fun and sun of Ibiza… unless you count a little virtual getaway. Nothing too large, nothing overdone. Just a simple casita, an old stables now converted to a contemporary getaway by Dutch architects Standard Studio for Ibiza Interiors.

Beatriz Silveira

Posted on Tue, 30 Aug 2016 by KiM

Beatriz Silveira is an interior designer from Madrid, Spain whose spaces I am completely lusting over. They are so full of personality and unexpected touches. A sort of elegant eclecticism that is floor to ceiling eye candy. The details are impeccable – right down to the super hot, skinny brass legs on the sofa four photos below. *SWOON*

Parisian love affair

Yes my love affair continues. Just one more apartment by Emma Donnersberg Interiors. Oh so chic, so elegant with a wonderful collection of global artifacts including three Tiwi Island burial poles. Such an amazing collection my eyes can’t settle. They are flitting from treasure to teasure.
