Zeus came to us last September as a rescue at age 5-6 wks. He had been out fending for himself at such a young age. What a little fighter! He was very sick and in bad shape overall. We nursed him back to health and now he is a healthy, happy boy. He didn’t get the memo about no cats on the counters, and loves to hang out on the dining room table, kitchen island and as you can see, the bathroom countertop too! Sending a before and after. The ‘before’ pic was taken at the vet’s, the day he was rescued by Sandy at AdoptMeRescue here in Ottawa.

So far in Atlanta, I’ve only taken pictures of @daisyeli95 and @ingafinchluce’s pets…

One from me of course. 🙂 The favourite cat chair. This Plycraft chair is ALWAYS occupied, and yesterday afternoon it was Lucky who was passed out on it most of the day.

Ruth says:

Zeus! What a big boy! Just want to reach into the photo and touch a paw.

Gorgeous cat & beautiful storie

Suzanne Melton says:

Cats on counters…years ago, I told another cat person that I was using a spray bottle of water to teach the cats not to jump up on counters.

Her reply: "Oh, how cute! You're teaching the cats what not to do when you're home!"

ohHolland says:

Admiration and thanks to those who saved Zeus .. and to all animal rescuers!

Annie says:

Love love love. And yes, ditto the admiration and respect for those who rescued Zeus. How fantastic you are!.

Moyra says:

Please never stop doing mpof. Houses are fantastic but the pets are magic.

Cate says:

If anyone has any tips for stopping a cat from peeing in the corner…. we've had the best bet with the odour killing sprays that reduce it but somehow she sneaky back to it. She's neutered and we've been to the vet about it (80€ later) who's only suggestion was to put more cat litters everywhere which is a bit hard in a one bedroom…

KiM says:

I've got a cat with peeing issues so these tips aren't really working for me but they may with yours Cate
1) buy a Feliway diffuser at your vets
2) next time you check with vet ask about getting your cat on Clomicalm (I'm currently trying this)
3) switch the type of litter you use
4) if you clean your litter box frequently try less frequently and if you don't clean it enough try cleaning it more.

Cate says:

thanks so much for your response Kim, I'll definitely try a Fellway diffuser and switching the litter
