Sometimes I come across homes while doing research for the blog that are just TOO MUCH. Too ornate, too large, trying too hard etc. Located in Savyon, Israel, the F House by Pitsou Kedem Architect seems to be over the top in terms of size (ceilings that seem to be up in the heavens – and it’s 700 m²) and minimalism. Perhaps this is exactly what the client asked for. What I love about this is that the sculptural qualities of the outdoors makes up for everything the inside isn’t. And in the evening this home is magical with lighting to emphasize the beauty of the plants, trees and wood walls.
I had planned this virtual Bali escape for days then this morning I heard the news that flights to the Indonesian island had been suspended due to volcanic ash clouds off shore. Oh no! We were all going to be lolling by the pool by the time this post went live. Fortunately we aren’t actually going. The volcano won’t actually spoil our trip. This is a virtual getaway after all. We can still plunge in the pool, shower outdoors and languidly lounge on all those built-in benches. Welcome to your Tuesday escape… Fella Villas.
This small Lower Fifth Ave, New York apartment by Ashley Darryl is a chic, eclectic mix of vintage and new, with emphasis on a sleek, minimal masculinity. Anyone else crushing on those living room chairs? Such slender, sexy legs.

This is my brown Jordan chaise lounge I love to nap on if my pets aren’t getting to it first. Usually doesn’t even matter because even if I do get to it, Maude (Wheaton Terrier), or Stella (abandoned calico mix) will be happy to share.

From me: Feral Frankie napping on a sheepskin (which he then started grooming – hilarious) and this morning I went in the backyard to finish painting a stool and brought some of the cats out with me. I may hate that the yard is a disaster and needs SOOOO much work but they don’t seem to care.
