West Hollywood interior designer Erin Kane creates simple, relaxed, easy-on-the-eye spaces that endure the test of time. Her designs seamlessly balance function and style. And there’s an adorable dog on a banquette bonus photo 🙂

Classic beauty

I am really starting to admire spaces that are traditional, classic beauties. These stunning examples were photographed by Belgium based photographer Claude Smekens and he has captured their elegance perfectly.

Tropical beach pad

This fabulous, fun house in North Bondi, Sydney puts a tropical tiki spin on a contemporary home. Surfboards and tribal carvings, ikat, tapa and batik fabric, a touch of vintage and that lush courtyard just outside the slide away doors. The perfect spot for a weekend getaway in Sydney and close to the famous Bondi Beach, it’s another of the unique and super stylish holiday stays from Contemporary Hotels.

There was too much goodness in PJ Mehaffey‘s portfolio to cram it all into one post so here is more for your viewing pleasure.

Pop + luxe + vintage

I am dying over these spaces designed by PJ Mehaffey of Alchemy Eclectic. PJ merges pop + luxe aesthetics while repurposing vintage elements. The result is unconventional chic that is cost-conscious and alot of fun. Love his take on elegant design whilst keeping things youthful and a bit edgy.
