Parisian vibes in Spain

Posted on Sun, 5 Mar 2017 by KiM

Creating Paris vibes in Spain. This apartment in a 50’s building in Coruña was transformed into a chic, eclectic space with finds from antique shops and flea markets by design firm Ramisa Projects & Fun. I adore every single thing from the windows to the moldings, the raw beamed ceiling and that mirror with trim over the sofa and everything they did to the kitchen and then the courtyard…. Working on a Saturday

Posted on Sat, 4 Mar 2017 by midcenturyjo

Is it really working if your place of employment is a vineyard with a stylish cellar door? I don’t think I’d have to worry about dragging myself in on a weekend if my job involved wine and a great looking work place. Hell they’d have to drag me out not in. A modern organic home in California

Posted on Fri, 3 Mar 2017 by KiM

This house in Carmel, California is an absolutely stunning work of art inside and out. It is modern but so warm and organic because of all the beautiful wood used extensively throughout every space. This is every mid century modern lovers dream as it suits furniture of that era so perfectly. Designed by Dirk Denison Architects.

Green with envy

Posted on Fri, 3 Mar 2017 by midcenturyjo

What to do when the house you are refurbishing is perhaps the most beautiful example of Le Corbusier-inspired architecture in Johannesburg? How to breathe new life into an iconic building by local Modernist hero Rex Martienssen? Keep it true, keep it real and let the owner’s personality shine through. I’m green with envy over that verdant entry. Greenside Residence by Tonic Design.
