Carefully and beautifully curated rooms that are minimalist but not at all sterile. Subtle variations in colour and texture. Elegant and intentional. The hallmark of great Scandinavian design and the signature of Stockholm-based Liljencrantz Design.

A New York farmhouse by Kara Mann

Posted on Tue, 11 Jul 2017 by KiM

Kara Mann – always a bit ballsy, and bit dramatic, a bit of glam…even when designing a farmhouse. A little something unexpected here and there that always catches my eye and makes me admire her style that much more. She painted the beautiful floorboards in the kitchen black, and to that I say HELLS YEAH!!!

(More features of Kara’s work can be found here, here and here)

La Granja Ibiza

Is it too early in the week to indulge in a virtual getaway? No I didn’t think so. OK drink in all these photos, close your eyes and daydream at your desk. La Granja Ibiza was once a private residence but now a small hotel with only 5 rooms and a separate guesthouse. Dark and moody, imperfect and beautiful, an oasis from the hot sun and even hotter night life of this party island. There’s even a biodynamic farm. Perfection.

South Yarra Residence

“A space that is unexpected and asymmetrically balanced using an installation of beautiful objects, the South Yarra Residence maximises every aspect. From the moment you step inside this considered home, a stone ledge and polished plaster niche immediately welcomes you. Curved walls complement the asymmetric nature of the apartment and open up the dining area to create a feeling of space.”

Slick and sophisticated, considered simplicity, understated yet luxurious. South Yarra Residence by We are Huntly.
