A little bit of glorious boho eye-candy care of Hubert Zandberg for the luxury fashion house Talitha’s concept showroom in Notting Hill, London.

Bold patterns in a country home

The team of Georgia-based Rethink Design Studio has a lot of fun with this country home by adding bold graphic wallpaper in several rooms and lots of fun colours and patterns in accessories and the occasional piece of statement furniture. The result is a whimsical and functional family home.

Stalking the angles

Posted on Thu, 17 Aug 2017 by KiM

I’m walking the cobbled inner city streets of Melbourne, stalking an angular house by Andrew Maynard. A contemporary home with a warehouse feel from its soaring ceilings, gantry-like walkways to its materials palette of concrete, steel and glass. The thing that strikes you most though is the light streaming in through the cleverly placed windows. Link here while it lasts.

Stylish living room furniture solutions

What does your living room say about you? It’s easy to think that this room is about bringing the family together, a room to relax, to watch TV, listen to music, entertain friends (and it is) but we all know it’s also about showcasing our personal style. Whether you are into traditional or transitional, eclectic or modern our furniture choices not only meet our needs but also trumpet our taste and how we love to live.

A great living room may seem effortless. First thoughts turn to the perfect sofa, a statement chair or two, a fabulous rug but we often forget the practical stuff. Things like storage. We want to be organised and look great but it’s hard with TVs and all their associated boxes, sound systems, speakers and oh my goodness don’t get me started on the cables and cords. Then we need the perfect spot to display our trinkets and treasures, perhaps on a side table or console or, for a more dramatic effect, enclosed in glass with feature lighting.

Looking great and hiding all the clutter is the aim. That’s the beauty of storage systems. Show what you want, and hide everything else through open and closed shelving units. It’s no secret. The right storage pieces make styling your room so much easier. If you like a clean, modern look these super sleek, contemporary pieces might be just what you need and if you can find all your living room furniture needs in one place even better!

Do your kids hate taking a bath or brushing their teeth? Bet they’d be alot more excited about both of those tasks if they were able to do it in this cool bathroom! The “Mr. Blow” wallpaper by Abnormals Anonymous is so fun!!! By Brio Interior Design (photos: Haris Kenjar)
