This Paris apartment may not be very spacious but it sure packs a whimsical punch with some tropical wallpaper, painted nooks, hanging chairs, a flamingo and a beautifully renovated bathroom. By Baldini Architecture.

A rustic ranch in Montana

Fall makes me think of cozying up by a fire, dark earthy colours, wood cabins and luxurious velvets. Fall is taking its time to really set in here in Ottawa which is fine by me given my hatred for cold weather, but I thought it was a good time to feature this home, and get all our dear readers who are heading into winter to start thinking about cozying things up at home. Another lovely project by Peace Design.

I’ve always fantasized about living in any number of my favourite shops. Just curl up in the display bed after the door have closed for the day. Could you? Would you? Absolutely no problem moving into this Amsterdam loft space (a converted garage) with a stylish atelier at the front and an equally sensational living space at the back. Very public during business hours but a wall of vintage windows can be closed off to provide security if not privacy when needed. 230 sqm of bright, white and light loft for sale here.

Loving this apartment in the New Orleans French Quarter designed by Ty Larkins, perfect for a young bachelor lawyer who happens to be a traditionalist. The client initially asked us to decorate his apartment with antiques and pieces with history. Luckily, we convinced the client he needed to mix in modern furnishings and artwork into the overall design because we believe there is nothing more staid than an old house filled exclusively with old furniture. The resulting environment is traditional space designed with a modern sensibility where French antiques are mixed with just the right dose of modern pieces coupled with a decidedly masculine color palette creating bold contrast and interest.
