“This large family home was renovated to blend the Victorian-architecture aesthetic with function for a large family who loves to entertain. The historical charms meld beautifully with contemporary elements and to create a comfortable, modern home.”
It’s all about simplicity, elegance and authenticity. Contemporary living combined with well chosen antique pieces. Heritage House by Susan Burns Design.

Every now and then you post homes without letting us know where they are. I click the link to the design firm to find out. Still not quite sure with this one. Where is this house? I love to be able to orient myself, and sometimes it’s fun to guess using the architecture, landscape and furnishings as clues. Overall though it would be incredibly helpful if you provided a location—perhaps a subheader—consistently with each post. Thank you for considering! This is my favorite interiors site.

Unfortunately sometimes we don’t know ourselves Elsie. Further searching on the designer’s website revealed this house was originally in Dundas, Ontario and was moved to a new site but it is not mentioned where.
