You may or may not recall a couple of weeks ago I had a bit of a negative social media experience…Well, I've been meaning to follow up on this because it actually turned in to the most wonderful thing. I was incredibly touched and inspired by another persons humility in reaching out via email, and in turn I reassessed my own behaviour and how I dealt with the situation – and definitely learned a thing or two. This socialising digitally thing is really so new in the history of human communication (which quite frankly we're just not all that great at anyway) – we have to exercise caution, be open to learning, misinterpretation and unexpected audiences, and we have to trust in good intentions. It's complicated, it gets messy, humans are SO confusing but most of us are good, and fun, and nice, and isn't it cool that we get to hang out and chat about anything and everything? On Tuesday I'm meeting an insta pal from my birth city Sheffield, England – that's the other side of the world and we're going to have dinner coz we met through these little picture squares. Yay instagram!.
