Art as a focal point

Posted on Thu, 7 Dec 2017 by KiM

I love art. I love large-scale art, I love gallery walls, I love photography art, and I really love seeing how others display art in their own spaces. Los Angeles based interior designer Kate Driver of West Haddon Hall is an inspiration when it comes to using art in her designs. That gallery wall above is PERFECT. Also totally smitten with the massive piece in the office below.

Stucco and brass

The architects own house. Luxury of space and materials. The silky smoothness of stucco, the cool touch of stone and marble, the outrageous beauty of a brass kitchen. It could be a dream but instead it’s a dream house. Armadale Residence by Rob Mills Architecture & Interiors.

A fun house for cats

Posted on Wed, 6 Dec 2017 by KiM

You’re not going to believe this, but I found someone who possibly loves cats more than me!! Or at least spoils their cats more than I spoil mine. My name is S.T.A.R. (Star’s Things Altered and Recycled) A mixed media recycled artist residing in New York which has recently taken a detour into a personal cat adventure of building Cat Walks for some ultimate furry companions, also know as The “Choco-Lettes”. At this point in time there are over one hundred and forty feet of sky highway for these felines to clown around. Hoping to also inspire all cat lovers all around the world. You can see all the madness on my website. OMG my cats would loooooove this!!

A seaside home with a Moorish feel

Posted on Wed, 6 Dec 2017 by midcenturyjo

Dreaming of a riad by the ocean? Perhaps of diaphanous drapes billowing in the cooling breeze? Of Moorish fretwork and internal courtyards with playing fountains? A fantasy family beach house on the Florida coast comes to life via the imagination and sheer talent of Chelsea Robinson. The al fresco lounging areas in the turret and the gardens, the layering of white upon white… swoon.
