Sea Cliff

Posted on Mon, 5 Feb 2018 by midcenturyjo

Last week I shared the work of San Francisco based interior designer Jeff Schlarb. You didn’t I was going to stop with just one house? Of course not. He calls it Rad Elegance. I call it mid century modern meets restrained glam. Fabulous!

A cozy and colourful Victorian home in London

Posted on Sun, 4 Feb 2018 by KiM

I love the eclectic and cozy vibe of this Victorian terraced home in London with its random mix of decidedly vintage furnishings, pink/peach walls and fun wallpaper. Fun, functional and family-friendly. Available as a location home through Shoot Factory.

Working on a Saturday

Posted on Sat, 3 Feb 2018 by midcenturyjo

You know what I say week after week. If you have to drag yourself into work on the weekend it helps if it’s somewhere stylish. L’ecologique Nail Bar by Spanish interior design firm Quintana Partners.

Making a statement with your walls

I love a good statement wall. I also love bold art. So why not take a favourite photograph and have it blown up mural size? I am completely smitten with this idea as seen above. I showed my husband this photo a couple of weeks ago and he seemed convince we needed to do this with a photo of Sayulita, Mexico, since we both became obsessed with this magical town and want nothing more than to move there. I burst his bubble by explaining we have no wall at the moment that would work but I am determined to do this one day. Via sköna hem.

Masculine glamour at Casa Botelho

João Botelho, interior and furniture designer at Casa Botelho based in London, is drawn to masculine glamour, symmetry and to-die-for statement lighting. Even if it means bashing your head frequently on the massive light fixture hanging low over the bed. This is João’s glorious four-storey East London townhouse (including a couple of iterations of his living room).
