GplusK

Posted on Fri, 16 Mar 2018 by KiM

Some Parisian fabulousness from architecture duo Gaëlle Cuisy and Karine Martin of GplusK. When space is at a premium, these ladies know just what to do, and with a modern aesthetic and a dash of colour.

A well-thought-out combination of dark and light can be found in this apartment on West 9th Street designed by Sawyer | Berson. Looooove the glossy dark grey paint on all that woodwork. A neutral colour palette and nothing too precious or sparkly makes this a, dare I say, perfect bachelor pad (but if you need proof take a look at the last photo).

Edgy classic

A classic family home with an edge. That’s how Katie Hackworth describes her reworking of this house in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle. From it’s stylish formal living areas to the classic kitchen with funky dining area to the side, from the serene master bedroom to the fun kids’ rooms the home is timeless, authentic and fab.

Favourite things

Polished concrete floors with exposed aggregate, rendered bathroom walls, raw brass, painted brick, breeze block, open plan living. These are a few of my favourite things. Oh I forgot to mention re-imagined retro houses, the  swan-like transformation from tired blonde brick and boxy, dark rooms into stylish, light filled spaces perfect for beachside living. Bold colour and wallpaper in a kitchen

Talk about a fun and bold kitchen! From the Tiffany Blue cabinetry to the tropical wallpaper and let’s not leave out the black and white hex tile patterned floor. This is jam-packed with personality. Via Toronto Interior Design Group.
