Shelby Girard (head of design at Havenly) defines her style as Parisian modern – a chic contrast of the minimal, the ornate, and the edgy. I would add glamorous to that list, which is evident in this black, dark blue, and more black home she designed, with lots and lots of brass accents. The dining room light fixture alone speaks volumes of her style. Love it!!! (Photos: Emily Sidoti)
Who would have thought that rich green cabinetry and a pretty in pink marble would form the basis of a knock out kitchen? Add a wall of mirror, textured tile and brass accents and you might be forgiven for thinking that the whole thing a tad OTT but no! It’s glamourous and practical, fun and functional. Love it! The colours of the surrounding Aussie landscape form the palette for this Yarra Valley home. Rich earth and endless blue skies, the silvery grey green of the bush, browns and rusts of the old growth on gum trees as well as the ghostly white of the new. A richly layered aesthetic in a contemporary Australian country home by Melbourne-based interior designer Chelsea Hing.
This Hampstead, London townhouse designed by Jo Berryman, is overflowing with personality and I absolutely love it.
