Classic and timeless, warm and inviting. This is the essence of Toronto-based Kate + Amanda. Kate and Amanda believe in the relaxed home that is both family friendly and stylish. Their aesthetic, light and fresh and never too formal. After all homes are meant for living in and making memories. A well designed space should be the foundation of a happy home.

Back in May Jo featured an absolutely divine kitchen by Minnesota-based interior designer Bria Hammel. I came across her portfolio recently and fell in love with so many more spaces that I thought a second look at her work was in order. By designing fresh, refined, welcoming spaces, we make a beautiful home functional and a functional home beautiful. Yes. Yes you do!

Stalking this time in the Melbourne suburb of Albert Park and a development of an old commercial stables building and the Victorian era house at the other end of the block. Between is a modern addition that provides walkways, internal courtyard and kitchen dining with master bedroom above. It’s mix of hero spaces and intimate rooms, weathered old bricks and hard edged stone, glass and steel. The design is by Robson Rak Architects. Link here while it lasts.
