Nordic craftsmenship

Posted on Mon, 20 May 2019 by midcenturyjo

I have all things “kitchen” on my mind. It may be because I am almost finished my own kitchen renovation ( I promise to share photos as soon as it is done) or it may just be that I keep coming across killer kitchens as I surf the net … like these sustainable bamboo beauties by Norwegian Ask og Eng. Choose from custom built or door fronts for IKEA carcasses. Perfect!

I spotted this apartment on The Village and wanted to share because it is unique and gorgeous, and has a European vibe I am always a fan of. Though admittedly, I hate blue (especially this shade) in interiors. Not sure why, I just can’t seem to get on board. Nevertheless this St. Petersburg gem located in a historic 1912 building has some really beautiful features, and was designed by Polina Gerasimova and Svetlana Kalimanova of Ruger Design. Happy long May 2-4 weekend my fellow Canadians!

Working on a Saturday

It’s like I say time and time again. If you have to drag yourself into work on a weekend it better be somewhere stylish … and chic and beautiful and totally somewhere you’d want to live let alone work. Well that, at least, is the way I feel about interior designer Sarah Davison‘s Kellett St Design Studio.

A family home filled with personality

Another project by Hanover Avenue I wanted to share is this downtown Charlottesville farmhouse that was renovated down to the studs to open it up and make it more family-friendly. Love the energy in this stylish and comfortable home.

A Victorian rowhouse loaded with charm

I am completely and utterly in love with the home of interior designer Anne Tollett of Hanover Avenue, based in Richmond, Virginia. I can’t even get beyond the photo above. So simple yet absolutely perfect (and it’s not because of the cat LOL). The rest of her home is perfection too.
