Chasing the dream – the warehouse

Posted on Tue, 14 May 2019 by midcenturyjo

I’m chasing the dream in the Melbourne suburb of Brunswick where a warehouse conversion with separate studio at the rear has caught my eye. The unimposing gray facade provides no clues as to the industrial meets textural, monochrome with a hint of coastal interior. Shouldn’t work you’d think but what could have been a stark interior is warm and welcoming. Bonus is if I buy it you can come visit and stay in the cute as a button studio. Link here while it lasts.

Leaf and June

Posted on Mon, 13 May 2019 by KiM

I was googling landscaping firms the other day and came across Leaf and June – the Brooklyn-based interior plant design and maintenance studio of Lisa Muñoz. I love this idea SO much! She offers onsite consultation and a custom design proposal tailored to your space. Plants and planters are then sourced upon design approval and potted for you. Then she will deliver, stage, install and a full plant care guide are provided. The perfect solution to any plant dummy out there who lacks the knowledge and confidence to have a house full of greenery. Check out these beautiful spaces Lisa has ‘plantified’.

These two furry friends are having a blast 🐕 I hate leaving our two furry members of the family just like any other dog owner does.. Its something about not bringing them and that we're not around them that gives you a heck of a lot of bad guilt 😅 just like when I have long days at work and I feel so bad that Im not home to walk them or cuddle in the sofa! Yikes that can make me feel so so SO bad! You know that feeling? That feeling of not taking responsibility for those two furry friends. But then I remember that both Jonas' parents and my aunt are taking care of them this week and I feel a lot better. Because that means they're being spoiled from the ears to tail 🙈 #ourfamilyabode #hometohave #makehomematter #howwedwell #heyhomehey #inmydomain #sodomino

I wasn't going to post this because I realised there's a plug slung over the back of the chair, but let's be honest, plugs and wires are basically my trademark. When you like lamps this much they're forever being switched around and you can't hide all the wires. Though admittedly, this might be the worst hiding I've ever done. Don't ask me why it's like this, it's usually a case of "i'll just pop this here to see what it looks li…."*walks off to move something else*. ANYWAY, I was very kindly featured by the lovely bunch over on the #boldbohemians hashtag so though I might share one of my more boho spots, with a bonus pup of course! And say hello to anyone new joining me on here. I think you're lovely. . . . . . #luxuryinteriorsonabudget #eclectichomemix  #spotlightonmyhome #eclecticdecor #ryarug #dtipetsonfurniture #dspets #mygorgeousgaff #myhomevibe #styleithappy #myinteriorinspiration #sundayhygge #boldbohemians #homesweethome #housebeautiful #walltowallstyle #bohoismyjam #apartmenttherapy #dshome #sodomino #mystylishspace

I hate getting flowers for Valentine’s Day. For real-why do flowers have to die in order that you may show your love? Ha! Flowers as gifts are just not for me. I do, instead, have all these glass jars on my kitchen window. My kids (favorite) job is to pick greenery outside for the jars. It’s one of those things that I hope my kids will remember about their childhood, a story they will tell about their mom’s jars of grass and branches and overgrown weeds that made the kitchen a little more beautiful. I got the idea when I saw my grandma put a bundle of dirty plain old clovers, roots and all, in a fancy flower jar. She saw the beauty in the ordinary and it was a profound thing. ✨✨What home “beauty tip” do you have, or, remember from your childhood? I’d love to start some more traditions like this here! #homebeautytip #noimeanbeautyforyourHOME #dtipetsonfurniture #caturdaymorning

Every year, projects that focus on innovation, technology, design and creativity are awarded with the A’ Award. While realized projects find opportunities to get published, reach new markets and meet a wide range of buyers for their existing products, the organization also helps the creative minds and startups to meet with the business people to realize their product ideas. If you’d like to register for next year’s competition you can do so here.

Elegance in a London home

Posted on Sun, 12 May 2019 by KiM

Elegant and a bit edgy is a mix that always captures my heart and eyeballs. My eyeballs almost popped out of my head when I saw this new London location home available through Shoot Factory. Marble, brass and crystal chandeliers is a combination that you can never go wrong with. NEVER!
