Working on a Saturday

Posted on Sat, 15 Feb 2020 by midcenturyjo

It’s like I say week in week out. If you have to drag yourself into work on a weekend it helps if it’s somewhere stylish like the offics of Madrid=based interior designers Espejo y Goyanes.

A light filled apartment in Barcelona

A simple apartment but simply stylish. Don’t get me started on the vaulted ceiling. Caldrap in Poble Sec district of Barcelona by Nook Architects.

Sea Roost

Posted on Fri, 14 Feb 2020 by midcenturyjo

It’s Valentines Day and I could think of nothing better than escaping to a rustic little cottage, fire roaring in a stone fireplace, the sound of waves crashing just metres away. Sea Roost from the owners of Mate Gallery would be the perfect romantic getaway. Two cottages nestled in mature landscape at Montauk. I know you won’r mind if I don’t invite you, just my husband.

An update on Kierszbaum Intérieurs

Posted on Thu, 13 Feb 2020 by KiM

Back in 2016 Jo had featured a couple of projects (here and here) by Paris design firm Kierszbaum Intérieurs, and what she noted about this firm still stands 100% true. Eclectic in style, exuberant in taste, fun and fab meets OTT, it is like a magpie collection of trinkets and treasures. EXACTLY! It’s such a unique mélange of colours and styles. This is a random and fabulous assortment from their portfolio.

This apartment may be small but it has everything a plant lover could need (aside from maybe a garden LOL). The yellow/green/chartreuse-y shades colours bring it all to life and add so much energy. It’s amazing what paint can do. And plants. Another project by Studio Paradisiartificiali.
