A renovated Manhattan pre-war apartment

Posted on Mon, 20 Jul 2020 by KiM

Bold art and kid-friendly furnishings are what make this renovated Upper West Side apartment super functional and dynamic. Designer Megan Grehl kept the walls mostly white which makes the art are sculptural furniture take centre stage. 5000 sq ft of fabulousness.

Deep jewel tones in an apartment in Italy

Posted on Mon, 20 Jul 2020 by KiM

A midnight blue cocooning foyer, a mustard yellow accent chair, a Togo leather sofa in cognac with coordinating painted nook (love this!!!), more blue and yellow in the bedroom…. This apartment by Italian designer Grazia Caruso of Vesper Design is modern and vibrant and I really love the warmth of these colours playing off each other. Such good energy in this space.

It’s that time again. Time to get your entries in for the prestigious A’ Design Award and Competition. Sunday at a bar, restaurant and café

Posted on Sun, 19 Jul 2020 by KiM

As of this past Friday, we Ontarians are able to once again eat inside a restaurant, bar etc, go to a gym and pretty much anywhere we used to pre-pandemic (but of course, wearing masks where possible indoors, and often is the law). Several of my favourite shops and restaurants choose to be cautious and are open by appointment only or continue to only offer takeout or patio only. If enjoying some time in a restaurant, bar or café were as simple as it was a few months ago, any of these beautiful spaces designed by Paris-based firm Laplace would be ideal.

Working on a Saturday

It’s like I say time and time again. If you have to drag yourself into work on a weekend it helps if it’s somewhere stylish. The offices of Elizabeth Krueger Design.
