Michelle Kelly is at it again with her penchant for colour and pattern. She has modernized this classic Victorian terrace home and made it family friendly and cozy. The hand-brushed brass kitchen cabinets are fabulous!!!

Many fun colours, patterns and textures make this turn-of-the-century home whimsical, spirited and is a wonderful example of how to add vintage while still keeping it feeling current. A unique take on decor for a family’s seaside holiday retreat by designer Michelle Kelly.

“A small, 1920s stone cottage on the lake in Wisconsin undergoes a major renovation. Rooms are reassigned and, most dramatically, the kitchen is re-oriented to capture the light and beautiful views. Vintage and custom-made furnishings live harmoniously, creating an atmosphere that is luxurious but not precious. Devoid of excess, the design is simple and sophisticated and filled with cottage-like charm.”

With the colours and textures of a beloved garden as the starting point interior designers, Arent & Pyke have created a luxurious yet almost monastic set of rooms in this extension that connects the existing house to the garden. Warm and rich yet calm.
