I have been following Austin, Texas based designer Kristin Laing for some time now on Instagram (I think it was her kitchen that reeled me on – more on that below) so I figured it was about time I feature her work here on the blog. This is the house she lived in for 8 years, until she sold it a few months ago and has since moved into a new place. She shared some really incredible before (from the MLS listing) and afters on her blog and they were so insanely good I had to share. Let’s dig in!
She gave a very detailed resource list in her blog post if you’re wondering what her sources are. After photos by Brian Cole.
I have had it with the misery winter brings. I am craving the outdoors, a landscape of green rather than white, and feeling the sunshine on my skin. I will instead take all the online outdoor inspiration I can get since there is no escaping it this year. And today it’s in form of some wonderful gardens from the portfolio of London based landscape designer Emily Erlam.
A lush sanctuary in the inner city, the perfect place to get away from it all … without leaving home. And if fabulous al fresco gatherings with family and friends are more your thing? No worries. Your private oasis is party central. Balmain garden by Sydney-based Adam Robinson Design.

It’s a fine balancing act. Eclectic and exuberant, luxurious and timeless, family-friendly and West Side cool. Get it wrong and the balls will come tumbling down. No chance when your interior designer is Tali Roth. Her masterful reworking of this Chelsea townhouse is textured, layered, bold and bright.
