I hope to one day find myself with a home that needs serious renovations, where I make decisions on what original details should stay and mix it with clean lines of modern architecture. This apartment in the Literary Quarter of Madrid has beautiful textured walls and beams maintained from the original 1900 structure and it really makes the space that much more unique and intriguing. Working on a Saturday

It’s like I say week in week out. If you have to drag yourself into work on a weekend it helps if it’s somewhere stylish. Notary’s Office De Simencourt by Fleur Delesalle.

The dreamiest wall of built-in bookcases, mid-century vibes and accents in what you might say is Bachman Brown‘s signature colour of blue make this Greenwich Village apartment cozy and cohesive. I also really love the ochre shade of the bedroom walls.

I have admitted I am not a fan of white trim, so when I see designers take a creative approach with trim I will sing their praises. I love what NYC designer Bachman Brown did in this Fifth Avenue duplex, where much of the colour is in the trim and door frames and fireplace and bookshelf wall and the rest is left neutral to highlight the art and furnishings.

French by the sea

Pardon me. I’m having a little daydream. The vaccines have brought Corona under control and we can travel again. I’ve packed my bag and hopped a plane to France. I’m in Cap Ferret and this sweet little beach shack is mine. Sigh. What a lovely, lovely daydream. Renovation of a holiday house by L’Atelier Delphine Carrère.
