I was recently devouring the website of  Danish stylist and writer Katrine Martensen-Larsen and came across the most wonderful home that is bathed in white. It is the flat of Danish designer Nina Kejser and her Italian husband Mario Iadanza in the small town of Charlottenlund just north of Copenhagen. Most of the furnishings are modern but I love that they’ve added some vintage pieces here and there to add interest. I am becoming more and more in love with neutral spaces and this one really does it for me, and it’s styled perfectly by Katrine and photographed by Mikkel Adsbøl. And said piece of furniture must be clearly visible in the photo, so it takes center stage rather than your pet. “Here are a couple shots of my cat, Ivey. I recently rescued her from a barn (a coyote had eaten some of her companions!), and prior to about three months ago, she had never spent a day indoors. Our family room is very contemporary, but I love how he sits on the arm of the couch & seems so proper (when he is anything but proper, he’s very playful). Since modern/contemporary spaces can sometimes be perceived as cold; Jackson and his toys are the perfect balance to the room. A few weeks ago this little white puppy (aka Butters) was added, and she contrasts the black couch. The only problem: I end up photographing these two, instead of studying for my finance tests.”

I’d like you all to meet Thiago.

Thiago is a 27 year old from Curitiba, Brazil, and he wanted to share his home with our readers. He decorated his home with vintage and industrial items and he did it all on his own. I think he’s done an awesome job turning this into a hip bachelor’s pad. Congrats Thiago! (To all the ladies out there reading this post –  better make sure your S.O. is not within viewing distance of your monitor or you may need to replace your grandmother’s antique rosewood hutch with a tool chest, or you’ll find a beer sign propped on your buffet where your Chinese porcelain ginger jar used to be).
