Jonamor Décor

Jonamor Décor was founded a couple years ago by Jonona Lambert, Principal Designer and Senor Amor, Project Manager. Before beginning the firm, these retro-crazed folks opened a vintage furniture shop called Retropia. I applaud their bold design schemes and their love of vintage. I think with their décor you either love it or hate it. I think the spaces are too quirky and fun not to love. 🙂 (And no, the following photos were not scanned out of one of Jo’s vintage design books.)

More from Amanda Nisbet

I stumbled upon the website of New York based interior designer Amanda Nisbet the other day and was awed by the supply of gorgeous photos of her work. “Untethered by design rules, Amanda brings a fresh energetic approach to a traditional sense of luxury. Color, texture and form blend to create her trademark comfortable elegance. Her work seamlessly balances function and style, Classicism and Modernism, in surprising ways.” Since it’s been over a year since Jo posted some photos from her portfolio, I was eager to do a follow-up post.

Piet Boon

Piet Boon is a Dutch designer who I’ve admired since I first saw his work. Jo posted about his Caribbean beach villa a while back and I thought we were very much overdue for another look at some spaces he has designed. Very organic feeling, rustic then modern at times but always minimal, his work is impressive. I want those outdoor spaces so badly it hurts.

Nathalie Vingot Mei

Nathalie Vingot Mei is an interior designer from la belle Provence who wrote us recently to say she’s a fan of the blog….and now I’m a fan of her work. Her work has been featured in Art et décoration, Marie Claire Maison and Côté sud. One word – SERENITY. Inviting spaces bathed in white and creams, with pale accent colours and lots of textures in fabrics, all with a very raw quality. C’est merveilleux et je suis vraiment contente qu’elle nous a envoyé un courriel. 🙂
