monoSpace

Check out this fab work place. mono is a Minneapolis based company that believes in the power of simplicity, putting it to work to create innovative communications for clients that include Herman Miller, Apple, Blu Dot and the Harvard Business School. I didn’t write that… I got it from their website 🙂 but you know what? If their work space is a representation of who they are and what they do and how they do it then this company is way cool. See more of where they are “forced” to come to work each day here. Thanks T.scott!

Pushing the Envelope

Remember this dream home? I just had to take another look at envelopeA+D and I was not disappointed. Modern but with soul these homes (and a couple of restaurants… hey good ideas are always inspiring!) are the result of a collaborative effort that translates the clients needs and desires and crafts a beautiful and functional solution. It’s all about enclosure and the place of client in the place if you get what I mean. Love it. Just don’t tell my (blind) husband about that birdcage in the house or he’ll just have to have it.

New photographer crush. Fickle aren’t I but when you come across a portfolio like that of Louis Lemaire it’s hard not to be in awe. Luscious light, great angles and composition. I’m inspired. Are you?

Living in a Commune

It’s not just a design collective it’s a commune… Commune Design that is. It’s collaborative thinking and a shared design aesthetic. It’s architects and interior designers meet graphic designers. It’s a holistic approach, thinking outside the box, it’s facilitating not dictating and it’s hot!

Stalking in pairs

I have a stalking partner this week and her name is Stacey. She lives just around the corner from this Melbourne home and thought we should drop in for an uninvited visit. Here’s the link. Interior designers are Atticus & Milo but unfortunately the website is still under construction. As for the house it’s a light filled confection of designer touches. I’d love to see this shot professionally. So many vignettes screaming to be captured in all their glory. Thanks Stacey!
