A small shack with jetty reaching out. The sound of water lapping gently. Laughter just before a splash and friends, lots of friends. I have dreams of the summer to come and this would be prefect. (Just as long as I don’t have to dust it!)

If it is then it’s time for a holiday reading guide! No such luck here. We’re right out of public holidays until Christmas in my neck of the woods. So if you’re lucky enough to have three days off sit back and enjoy. New blogs, not so new, lots of eye candy and always inspiring. Hey even if it’s not a long weekend where you are there’s always time for blog hopping!

I’m always putting labels on designers, trying to tie their work up in neat bundles with a few choice words. Timeless yet traditional, contemporary and classic, an eclectic mix of the perfect this and that. I could use these for Toronto interior designer Jennifer Worts’ portfolio but instead I’ll just say beautiful, simple and elegant, just beautiful.

New York New York. The loft, the warehouse, the historic townhouse. Oh how so many of us dream of an amazing space perhaps with a hint of the industrial but always with the room and the height and the light. The architect of my dreams – Diana Kellogg. Just a taste of her work. I’m so inspired. It’s human, organic and industrial. It’s about the bones and staying true.

He joking calls it a disease and an incurable one at that. For our sake let’s hope Francesco Lagnese never gets over his urge to aim and shoot his camera. Then we’d be deprived of a prodigious talent. Fabulous portfolio. His personal work is at one moment serious and the next playful. Enjoy.
