Photographer Kathryn Russell has a passion for her work. It shows doesn’t it. She creates images that draw you into her world of products and food and these gorgeous spaces. What colour! Yum! And the light. It’s so soft and warm. OK I’m off to devour Kathryn’s food portfolio. Enjoy.
What’s hiding behind the curtain in São Paulo, Brazil? Rodrigo from Brazilian architectural firm Rosenbaum sent us their latest commercial project Nicota Restaurante. Stunning! So many ideas to use in your home as well. Look at that owl wallpaper, the lampshades, the mix of traditional with modern with lashings of boho. Love the vibe coming out of Brazil at the moment and Rosenbaum are at its forefront.
What’s white, bright and full of fun? What’s sophisticated yet boho, handmade indie and inspirational? Why the portfolio of french stylist Camille Soulayrol! Wow! It’s overflowing with beautiful images and clever ideas. Writer, designer, stylist and super talented. Great way to start the week don’t you think?
WINKS – weekend links. It’s a short WINKS this week. I’m up to neck in collage, paint and print. Back to full posting from Monday but I wanted to share the amazingly generous work of fellow bloggers for now. Have you noticed the developing sense of community out there? Yes we have our blogging networks where we visit and comment popping in and out of each others blogs. A quick email to a blogging friend to ask how they do whatever they do technically to get that look you want for your blog too, queries about the “next” step to grow your readership. Private mentoring has been around for as long as blogging but now bloggers are coming together to demystify the whole process. Here are three such sites and if you know of more please share in the comments!
So that’s it for today. Short and sweet and all about community. Get out there. Get involved. Share and learn. I’m off now to finish a painting. See you on Monday.
A holiday reading guide because I’m off for a week. I’d love to say that I am taking time to relax at the beach…. but I’m not. I’ve been on “holidays” this last week and I have one more away from work because I’m trying to put the finishing touches on some mixed media pieces for an up coming exhibition. Just a small one but I’m excited none the less. Kim will still be posting here at Desire to Inspire and she’s been on such a roll lately with some stellar posts you won’t even miss me I’m sure. So let’s pretend we’re all on holiday with plenty of time to while away on books and blogs and friends. See you soon!
