Raving about Raeside

We have featured the work of photographer Paul Raeside on the blog so many times that I have lost count. Not hard to see why. The man is a genius with a lens. Love the natural light, the shadows, composition. Definite photographer crush!

Stalking small on Steel

There’s a saying – “When it rains it pours.” I’m finding too many great homes real estate stalking. It seems to be either feast or famine when I’m pounding the “virtual” pavements, stalking all the good homes on my local real estate site. I promise this is my last for the week. Promise 😉 I just thought it was so cute. Teeny, tiny, two storey in Surry Hills, Sydney. An old home with a lot of life in her yet. Link here while it lasts.

Inside Out is out

There are the special little things in life that fill a slow rainy day (or a crazy busy day why won’t it SLOW DOWN… ooops sorry). Little things that make me happy. A good magazine is one of them. And Inside Out is a great magazine. I always get a wee bit over excited when an email from managing editor Lee Tran Lam is sitting in my box. Do we want to see a house? Yes please!

“It’s from our new Jul/Aug issue and it’s of a makeover of a Dutch farmhouse. The revamp included lots of upcycling – and in fact, the floor of the top storey is made of old cheeseboards! The styling is by Studio Viva Vida of The Netherlands and the photography is by Jean-Marc Wullschleger.”

Yeah! There are even pictures that didn’t make it into the magazine after the jump. Bonus! Aussie readers will of course be heading to the newsagents to pick up their copy out today. (That’s if you don’t already subscribe.) Don’t fret if you aren’t in Australia though because you can read along on ZinioGoogle Play and the Apple Newsstand!

Wanderlust, er sorry, Windowlust

I have a craving to travel to this marvelous house, home invade and refuse to leave. I’m lusting after the steel and glass windows. A truly beautiful, eclectic home bursting with personality and humour. What else would you expect from jj Locations.

Stalking a dog house

Not a kennel. No it appears that this Paddington, Sydney house is the inner city pad of a very cool and very fluffy dog about town. Very cute! Both the terrace house and the dude in the fur coat and dark glasses. Talk about a ham! Link here while it lasts.
